ABOUT – HAVEN

HAVEN –
Navigate • Surrender • Belong

HAVEN is a conscious BDSM festival rooted in the vision of Kinky Explorer:
To co-create aspace where curiosity, presence, and honest connection become lived experience.

It invites you to follow your inner compass into deep play, embodied exploration, and real connection.

A space for exploration as practice

HAVEN brings people together who feel drawn to explore BDSM as a living practice.
Learning, playing, and connecting unfold as one continuous experience:

Conscious Kink

At HAVEN, BDSM becomes a field for awareness, expression, and connection.

Desire is something to listen to and trust.
Sensation becomes a language.
Power becomes something we meet with presence, clarity, and responsibility.

Kink unfolds in many forms, it can be playful, intense, intimate, expansive or something else.
There is space for not knowing, for discovering, for allowing experience to shape you.

Consent as a living practice

Consent lives at the heart of HAVEN.

It moves beyond agreements as a fixed moment and becomes an ongoing dialogue with yourself and with others.

We practice noticing what is present.
We stay curious about our desires, boundaries, and reactions.
We listen, respond, adjust, and communicate.

Consent becomes something we embody:

This includes an awareness of power within BDSM dynamics and within the social spaces we share.

We take responsibility for the spaces and scenes we co-create.
We shape them together through presence, communication, and care.

A community in the making

HAVEN is part of a growing community.

A field of people who come together to explore, to feel, and to connect in ways that are real and grounded.

A community that values:

Something emerges here that cannot be planned or produced.
It grows through shared experience, through encounters, through the willingness to meet each other beyond expectations.

A place to belong

HAVEN is an international, bilingual (EN/DE) BDSM gathering held over four days. Folks who attend HAVEN arrive with different stories, bodies, identities, and experiences.

We come from different cultures and communities, hold different beliefs and values, and carry varied relationships to power, privilege, and marginalization. Our ages, abilities, genders, sexualities, and neurotypes may differ.

We may be navigating different financial realities, levels of experience, access needs, and comfort with vulnerability or risk. Some arrive feeling confident and resourced, while others may be stepping in with uncertainty, curiosity, or tenderness.

All of this diversity is welcome. It shapes the richness of the space and invites us to meet one another with care, respect, and openness.
By acknowledging these differences, we can move more thoughtfully, make room for a wider range of participation, and support a culture where everyone has the possibility to feel seen, valued, and included.

HAVEN becomes a space where you can:

Our Approach

HAVEN is a space for diversity and curiosity.

Folks who attend this festival come with different backgrounds, bodies, genders, finances, and life experiences. The same opportunities are not equally easy for everyone to access: some doors open effortlessly for some, while others require more care or attention. Power is distributed unevenly in society, and this plays out both in everyday life and in the scenes we create together. …

We approach these dynamics with awareness and care. We don’t make assumptions about what others need; instead, we ask: what does it take in this moment for you to feel safe, present, and fully supported? Our goal is not to label or judge, but to notice: which needs are easily met, and which require special support or attention?

Connection grows not from similarity alone, but from openness, empathy, and goodwill. When we meet each other in this spirit, we can see past roles, labels, privileges, and power to the living needs that move us all: safety, freedom, closeness, expression, and belonging.

HAVEN is a place where all needs have room to be expressed and honored. A space that celebrates differences while co-creating shared, meaningful experiences.

A Compass to HAVEN

While creating the HAVEN logo, we came across a symbol that immediately spoke to us: the Vegvisir.

It is said to be an Icelandic sign for finding your way home, especially when the path ahead is unclear and you feel lost.

For us, it became something very real.

A way towards a place where you feel you belong.

A place you might move towards when it’s hard to stay connected to your true self.

A place where you don’t have to hold everything together on your own. …

Where you can be seen as you are, without your everyday masks, including the parts of you you don’t get to show everywhere.

At the center of the symbol, you find HAVEN. We want it to be your anchor, your safe space, your community home in the making.

Different paths lead there.

They come from different directions, hold different patterns, shaped by different experiences and stories.

And when they meet, something begins to connect, to weave into a shared vision.

At the heart of this place is consent.

And the question that comes with it:
What do you really want?
What does your heart, your body, your kinky self really want?

The Vegvisir holds all these possibilities. It is there to help you find your way, if you want to be a part of this vision.

And if something in you responds to this, you are very welcome here.
