Fire play is a precise, intense, and deeply embodied form of play within BDSM.
Working with fire on or close to the body can be unexpectedly soft, sensual, and highly charged at the same time.
The presence of flames often brings focus, awareness, and a heightened sense of connection, for both Tops and Bottoms.
Fire play can take many forms: sensual, erotic, tender, ritualistic, or intense and elemental. What unfolds is shaped by intention, communication, and the quality of attention we bring into the moment.
Because of the nature of fire, this is a technically demanding practice that requires full presence, trust, and continuous awareness between all participants.
In this 3-hour introductory workshop, we will:
- introduce the essential tools and techniques used in fire play
- explore core safety principles for working with fire on the body
- practice clear, grounded communication (verbal and non-verbal) before and during play
- explore the role of the receiving partner as an active, co-creating part of the experience
- demonstrate a ritual-based fire play sequence
- offer guided opportunities to try and practice in a supported setting
Techniques we will work with include:
- torch play: passing flame above the skin or making brief, controlled contact
- fire massage using a fire-safe glove
- pyro cotton applied on the body

You are welcome to join solo, with a partner, or in spontaneously formed constellations.
